Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru

The Clos de Vougeot is an extraordinary wine, with a rich history that dates back to the 12th century. Located in the heart of the Burgundy region, this Grand Cru appellation is one of the most famous & produces wines of exceptional quality that reflect the unique terroir and winemaking traditions of the area. The Clos de Vougeot is highly sought after by wine connoisseurs, as its limited production make it a rare and exceptional representation of the appellation.

Variety: 100% Pinot Noir

Vinification: ageing is undertaken for 12 months, with 25% in oak barrels to increase the complexity and intensity. There is a small amount of filtering.

Tasting Notes: The aromas are subtle and gradually increase after opening. There are notes of blueberry and blackberry, with hints of sweet spices. The wine is silky and has a smooth and lasting mineral finish.

Cellaring: Can be kept for 15 years, may be opened early, however decanting is recommended
