Clos du Calvaire
Tradition and biodiversity from the heart of Châteauneuf‑du‑Pape
Clos du Calvaire is a family-run estate founded in 1923 by Alphonse Mayard and Marie‑Louise Deydier, situated at the edge of Châteauneuf‑du‑Pape. Now entering its fifth generation under Françoise Roumieux and her children Nicolas and Coline, the domaine maintains deep roots in local heritage.
The estate covers approximately 30 hectares across 24 parcels, primarily on the famed Grand Coulet and La Crau terroirs, and is cultivated organically with a focus on agroecological practices. Rooted in respect for nature and tradition, the vineyards yield wines of balance, purity, and expressive terroir identity. Dedicated to sustainability, Clos du Calvaire showcases the best of Châteauneuf‑du‑Pape heritage with a modern ecological vision.
